Friday Pie Day!! Long I Pie and Huckleberry Roasters $5

Hike Bear Creek Trail - 35 minutes from Denver

Bear Creek Trail at Lair o' The Bear Park  

Located about 35 minutes from Denver, this park has both open spaces and trails. The drive in along the Bear Creek Road in the the canyon is gorgeous and there is plenty of parking once there. The hike is relatively easy and about 1.7 miles with shade along the way. In addition to hiking, activities include picnics, bird watching, fly fishing, and mountain biking. Also your furry friends are allowed as long as they are on a leash.

In good ol' landlocked Colorado, the thought of fresh seafood and oysters might be a little out of mind. Today, August 5th is National Oyster Day and Jax's Fish House and Oyster Bar would like to remind you that Denver has some great seafood.
