Tony Winning Play, Copenhagen tickets 50% off and The Tavern Lowry Happy Hour

The John Hand Theater in the Lowry neighborhood is a bit of a hidden gem. In fact, Google maps didn't immediately pull up the location. The 89 seat theater has an engaging and brilliantly directed lineup for the current season, and the current play Copenhagen is no exception. Copenhagen is a drama that takes place in Nazi era that features complex friendship, physics and an atomic bomb. All of which has real-life implications for the war.

Goldstar currently has reduced rate tickets, showtimes and dates  -   Goldstar - Copenhagen

The Tavern Lowry - Happy Hour and Specials

If you would like to get a bite to eat before heading to the theater, The Tavern in Lowry has some great deals. Specifically if you are there on a Friday they have half off all appetizers. Also from 3-7pm (m-f), they have great happy hour deals including food for under $5 and 2-1 drink specials.

On another note, if you happen to be looking for a good trivia night, starting June 3rd, Trivia Tuesday is back! 7:30 - 10pm every Tuesday. http://www.tavernhg.com/lowry

Godzilla! See the Japanese Original and Score Free Godzilla Gear!

There is nothing quite like the first monster movies from Japan. The garish creature costumes, obvious special effects, and the 'Americanized' dubbing all add to the Godzilla movie magic. Tonight through May 15th at Sie Film Center, you can see the original in its full glory in honor of the 60th anniversary of the film. The original release in 1954 had 40 minutes of the Japanese version cut-out of the film, but tonight you can see it uncut. Friday 5/9 and Saturday 5/10 you can also get some cool Godzilla swag and get a chance to win tickets to an advanced screening of the new Godzilla film, (releases 5/16/14).  http://www.denverfilm.org/filmcenter/detail.aspx?id=26386
