Yup, I know what you are thinking - 'why would you post about Monday events; who wants to go out on a Monday?' Actually, quite a few people. I was surprised when I started receiving requests of things to do on this least loved day of the week.
The Get Up Get Down! - The Deer Pile - 8:30 - 10 pm, $10 suggested donation
I usually do a Pachanga Class every Monday and a big fan of dancing for fun and fitness, so this event is right up my ally. This event features Hip-Hop, Funk, and House Dance Lessons.

Steampunk Opera - Queen Victoria’s Floating Garden of Secrets and Natural Wonders -$20 - 4/27/13
The Denver Post descibes the show much better than I can -
In this all new, all original dystopian steampunk operetta, Queen Victoria II is on her way to inspect HMS Annelid, a scientific sailing ship à la Charles Darwin’s HMS Beagle. Pirates in petticoats mutiny, sky pirates are shot from the air and must be rescued from the drink, and disguises and mistaken identities round out the intricacies of this homage to both Mozart and Gilbert & Sullivan.
Delightful Edwardian-inspired costumes and dazzling mermaid garb cobbled together with artifacts from another time offer a nod to the archaeological and scientific frenzy of the Victorian era. Clever mechanical sets and ornate gizmos that hilariously malfunction add layers of interest to the show.
This showcase performance is a fundraiser for Inventing Earth, a federally recognized non-profit focused on art-science collaboration.
I'm not entirely sure how to classify James Blake's music, but I do know that I like it! I suppose that it falls into one of the indy genres.. The beats, harmonies, and melodies are hypnotic yet catchy. I've included a couple of videos below to check out.
The classic art invokes an emotional response in most of us. Whether it is the 'Creation of Adam' by
Michelangelo or 'The Scream' By Edvard Munch, these paintings by the masters take us places. Today at Tanga.com, they are offering many famous paintings printed on canvas. Most prints start at $44.99 for a 26x18 and go up from there. Check out the link below to see the offering. I've shown two lesser known Van Goghs' below.
